 Formed in 1995, American Tower, a publicly traded company (NYSE:AMT), is a leading owner and operator of wireless and broadcast communications sites in North America and Brazil. Today the company owns and operates over 23,000 sites in the United States, Mexico and Brazil. In addition, American Tower has offices in London, England and Delhi, India. With U.S. headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, American Tower has U.S. offices nationwide. In 2007, American Tower had total revenue of approximately $1.45 billion. In 2006, total revenue was approximately $1.3 billion.

Wireless & Broadcast Towers
American Tower offers customers approximately 20,000 U.S. wireless towers for network deployment. We have towers in 49 states and the District of Columbia and 87% of our towers are located in the top 100 BTAs, near major travel corridors or in densely populated areas. Our 250 broadcast towers give wireless, radio and broadcast operators additional “tall tower” coverage options in virtually every major U.S. market.

Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)

American Tower gives wireless service providers access to 550 malls, casino/resorts and other properties nationwide through our innovative DAS program. We’ve been developing multi-operator, neutral-host Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) since 2001 and have completed more installations than any other provider in the industry.


Managed Rooftops
American Tower offers wireless service providers and broadcasters access to a portfolio of managed rooftop locations—with premium coverage in the top 100 metropolitan markets. Rooftops offer attractive options for antenna sites within cities and other locations where towers are impractical.


Site Development Services
American Tower helps wireless service providers get sites on air fast by offering a vast site portfolio—paired with a complementary suite of services to speed network deployment. Our services offering includes new tower development; search ring analysis, zoning & permitting; structural analysis/A&E design; contruction & project management; and utility coordination.
