At Colo Atl, our goals are twofold: to provide you with state-of-the-art colocation facilities and to provide the best possible customer service. To add to our arsenal of great facilities, we recently announced the launch of a new edge data center offering, located approximately 10 miles southwest of our facility at 55 Marietta. To improve on our promise to deliver top-notch customer service, we recently brought David Fox, Director of Business Development, officially into the Colo Atl family.

You’re no stranger to American Tower but you’re new to the Colo Atl family. What led you to your current position at Colo Atl?
Our previous general manager recently left, and American Tower Corporation, which is Colo Atl’s parent company, needed someone who had the experience to work across function groups at American Tower to continue sales efforts at Colo Atl. I had been doing similar things for American Tower and it was a natural fit for me to help in this way at Colo Atl. I oversee enterprise and channel sales for American Tower’s data center assets, including Colo Atl, as well as the innovation sales engineering team.
What are you most looking forward to about being more involved with Colo Atl?
Due to changes in the business environment today with more companies continuing to allow employees to work remotely, I am looking forward to the fast-paced growth. It will take a lot of bandwidth to meet the needs of our customers but I feel this is a great opportunity for us to exceed expectations from technical and customer service standpoints.
What do you enjoy most about working for American Tower and, so far, Colo Atl?
The pace of work and volume is very exciting. The opportunity to be on the forefront of innovation and change the managed network infrastructure field is something I look forward to every day. With the continued rise of 5G and the increased demand that more work from home activity is creating, we are in a unique position to drive change and make a real difference.
What is your professional background?
My technical career started 26 years ago in the United State Marine Corps as a communications operator, followed by roles with mobile network operators as an RF engineering design and optimization technician. In 2011, I moved to American Tower to help with DAS engineering, sales engineering, business development and product innovation.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We are happiest when we are boating somewhere off the coast of North Carolina!
What do you love most about the telecom industry?
I love that the industry is such an essential part of everyone’s daily lives whether they realize it or not. It is humbling to know how many people rely on the work you do.
