For over 20 years, American Tower has proudly celebrated the exceptional talent of our global workforce through the TowerStar Awards. This accolade recognizes individuals and teams who consistently elevate our shared success and embody our Core Principles: Understand our customers' needs and satisfy them; Hire good people and empower them; Focus on solutions, not problems; Do what we say we’re going to do; Have fun; and Play to win. These principles are the foundation of our culture, guide our work ethic and demonstrate accountability to one another.
What is special about this award is its inclusivity, as every member of the American Tower community can nominate their peers. In 2024, team members showed their enthusiasm for recognizing excellence by submitting more than 2,300 nominations. Each year, our TowerStar winners are invited to our headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, where they gather to celebrate their achievements, meet with other leaders, and attend a special dinner with our Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
American Tower’s shared success is rooted in its people. All our local team members across the world know collaboration and sharing best practices are imperative to providing best-in-class support to our customers at every one of our sites. Customer and employee experience go hand-in-hand, and the success of both is rooted in a team-oriented, supportive culture.
The 2024 TowerStar Award winners have made an impact at American Tower in meaningful ways—from better customer service initiatives to operational improvements. A few of their accomplishments included enabling process standardization across multiple countries, leading projects, such as rural built-to-suit sites and tower designs, finding ways to improve network performance, implementing new systems and tools for a smarter and more efficient use of data, and working tirelessly to achieve customer satisfaction. How this work was done is just as important as the work itself. Each TowerStar collaborated, communicated effectively and was a team player.
